Sometimes I wonder if you really know me, I’m not complicated I’m simple with a little mystery, if you can believe that. Over the years I have tried to communicate my feelings to you, only you’ve ignored me. I once took a moment to evaluate myself as a woman, as your wife and I realized that there were a few things I could change about my approach and what this ring means, so I did that, however you were still the same and now I’m alone in this relationship. You act as if we just met like you don’t know me at all. I’m trying to show you maybe it’s that you don’t want to know me anymore. So I watch as you walk out the door.

Mrs. Campbell is definitely the poet she claims to be. Out of the novels she has available I had the hardest of time to choose which one would better suit my interest. Than I came across the intro of The Love Letter and it spoke to me. I felt as if she knew my story and that poem was for me.As i continued to read poem after poem it reminded me of ways I too had overcame my past. I understood every thing she spoke of as well as felt her pain. I felt the love she shared in her heart for the one man she loved as well as the love she was willing to let go of to keep her very own sanity.
Two poems stood out to me personally; It's me and Should I take him back. My history of my first love dates back to many years ago before the man of my dreams found me. But those two poems are poems I will always hold close to my heart and will read whenever I feel as if I need "his" love again when I know I'm more than happy where I am at.
Thank you for the opportunity of reading your book. It was well worth it :)

I really enjoyed how in the book; The Love Letter the author captured the love, pain, and intense emotions of a woman in a relationship. The poem "One for me" depicts the unconditional love you have for your special someone. In reading her poetry, I can remember times when I was new to the feeling of love. Like poem "And it did hurt" how she desired, and felt distraught when things didn't go the way she expected. Lastly, the poem "God is still there" reminds me of times when I had to go to God for guidance to help keep me. I can appreciate the author's honesty in her writing to allow the readers to see how she didn't give up on love with each experience. Great Read!
